“She explained each step before we tried it, and never made me feel I was doing it wrong.”
Therapy for panic, health anxiety and OCD.
A solo practice in San Francisco for adults whose worry has taken over the day. Sessions are 50 minutes, in person or by video, at a pace we set together.

One clinician, every session.
I'm Dr. Seema Pawar, a licensed psychologist in San Francisco. I work with adults who have panic attacks, health anxiety or obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Most of the work is exposure-based. We plan, one step at a time, how to face what you have been avoiding and how to do less of the checking, the searching and the asking for reassurance. I explain each step and what it asks of you before we try it, and you can slow it down at any time.
Revive is a small, solo practice, so you see the same person every week.

How I work
Three things you can count on.
You set the pace
Nothing happens in a session that I have not explained first. You can slow a step down or stop it.
The method has a name
I tell you what we are doing and why, in plain words, and what it will ask of you between sessions.
Nothing hidden
You get my fee in writing before you book, and I explain how a receipt for your plan works.
What sessions look like
One path, from the first session to the tenth. Your clinician sets the pace, so yours may run shorter or longer.
- Session 1
The story of the worry
We talk about when it started, what sets it off and what you do to get through it. You decide how much to say. We do not start exposures today.

- Session 2
A map of the triggers
Together we list the situations, thoughts and sensations you avoid or try to fix, and put them in order from easier to harder.

- Session 3
The first small step
We try something at the easy end of the list, in the room, with me beside you, and notice what happens when you do not escape, check or ask.

- Sessions 4 to 9
Practice, then a little more
Each week we repeat a step, then move up the list. Between sessions you do a short task of your own, agreed in advance.

- Session 10
A look back
We review what has shifted and what has not, and decide together whether to keep meeting, space sessions out or stop.

Who this is for
I see adults. If you are not sure it fits, write and ask.
Panic attacks
A racing heart, a sense of doom, and a growing list of places you avoid in case it happens again.
Health anxiety
Checking your body, searching symptoms online, asking for tests or reassurance, and still not feeling sure.
OCD
Unwanted thoughts and the rituals, visible or in your head, that you do to quiet them.
How to start
Three steps, none of them complicated.
